New in 2018.4: Fine tuning, new management interfaces

Emsisoft Update 2018.4

In April, our development teams had two main items on their to-do lists:

  1. Fine tuning: We have improved malware detection to more reliably catch some specific new groups of malware. A lot of work were done under the hood to make Emsisoft Anti-Malware more powerful and ready for the improvements to come. We have also further enhanced the documentation and created a new User Guides section in our online Helpdesk that describes all aspects of the software.
  2. New management interfaces: Those who are running their Emsisoft Anti-Malware installations via one of our supported Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) providers will soon be able to enjoy a significantly enhanced range of available protection settings. The new interfaces enable full remote management for authorized RMM tools.

How to obtain the new version

As always, so long as you have auto-updates enabled in the software, you will receive the latest version automatically during your regularly scheduled updates, which are hourly by default. New users, please download the full installer from our product pages.

Note to Enterprise users: If you have chosen to receive “Delayed” updates in the Update settings for your clients, they will receive the new software version no earlier than 30 days after the regular “Stable” availability. This gives you time to perform internal compatibility tests before a new version gets rolled out to your clients automatically.
