New in 2022.1: Improved user interfaces on desktop and in web app

We’re starting the new year with a bang! In our first update of 2022, we’re rolling out a major design and usability update for our protection software as well as our entire web app.

Windows 11 design on the desktop

We have adapted the software user interface to Windows 11, adding semi-transparent windows, simplified user controls and improved handling.

Redesigned web/mobile app

We have also put some serious effort into streamlining the visual impression of Emsisoft Management Console, the web and mobile app used to centrally manage the protection of all your Windows devices.

How to obtain the new version

As always, so long as you have auto-updates enabled in the software, you will receive the latest version automatically during your regularly scheduled updates, which are hourly by default.

Note to Enterprise users: If you have chosen to receive “Delayed” updates in the Update settings for your clients, they will receive the new software version no earlier than 30 days after the regular “Stable” availability. This gives you time to perform internal compatibility tests before a new version gets rolled out to your clients automatically.
